Howdy!
My name is Mohamed, and I’m from Corpus Christi, Texas. I graduated from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi with a degree in Chemistry. I’m currently applying to medical school after taking a gap year to gain clinical experience and study for the MCAT. I’m honored to support you on your MCAT journey and excited to work together.
Since childhood, I’ve been deeply curious about the biological and chemical systems that sustain life. Over the years, that curiosity has developed into a passion for sharing what I have learned with others and helping them achieve their academic goals. At my university, I served as a supplemental instructor for organic chemistry and a lab instructor for general chemistry. I also tutored student-athletes individually in biology, chemistry, and physics. I learned that everyone thinks differently, and the most effective teacher is the one who can appreciate diverse perspectives and adapt to the needs of the student. These experiences led me to develop a passion for teaching that continues to influence the trajectory of my life. I hope to one day work in academic medicine, where I can contribute to the medical field while mentoring future learners and healthcare leaders.
Outside the classroom, I’m drawn to nature, wildlife, and exploration. Growing up on the sunny Texas coast, I found peace in activities like hiking, birdwatching, fishing, and snorkeling. While studying for the MCAT, fishing on Sundays became a ritual that helped me recharge and avoid burnout. As your tutor, I’ll challenge you to meet high standards, but I’ll also stress the importance of rest, balance, and maintaining the hobbies and relationships that keep you grounded. The MCAT is demanding, but you don’t have to lose yourself in the process.
