Hi! My name is Hayden, and I’m excited to help you prepare for and crush the MCAT. The MCAT can be so daunting and overwhelming with its high amount of content and unique question styles. After months of studying and preparing, I learned valuable methods, techniques, and knowledge about this exam that I want to share with you. I hope to be your guide on this journey and help you reach your goal score through individualized tutoring and positive feedback.
When I first decided to begin studying for the MCAT, I didn’t know where to start. I was lucky that I had a friend refer me to MCAT Self Prep. The eCourse is organized in a way that breaks down all the information into small, bite-sized chunks. By helping me create a study plan, MCAT Self Prep gave me direction on where to start studying and how to study; if I felt lost or overwhelmed, a tutor could help me with this. Using the easily organized videos and flashcards, I started making measurable progress on my MCAT preparation. I also was able to discover my weaknesses and find ways to strengthen those to become some of my greatest strengths. MCAT Self Prep helped me go from unsure about my abilities to being confident when test day came. With the right plan and preparation, you will feel confident about the test too when you need to take it.
Outside of MCAT tutoring, I have been a teaching assistant for Introductory Sociology and currently teach Anatomy in the anatomy cadaver labs. I have loved helping students learn and grow. Working with students, I have learned the importance of individualized approaches, flexibility, and positivity while studying. We are all unique, with different backgrounds, schedules, and learning styles. I want to work with you to develop a personalized plan that fits all your needs and wants for your MCAT prep so that you can succeed and be prepared for anything that comes your way. I have learned so much as I have studied for the MCAT, taken it, and worked with other students. I can’t wait to share what I have learned with you!
A little more information about me: I love to fly fish, camp, ski, and spend time with my wife. I currently work on a research project using lichens as air pollution indicators. I work as a medical assistant. I am currently a senior at Brigham Young University and am applying to medical school right now.
